Ace is our newest addition. She was not part of the hoard rescue, she was surrendered due to a life change in her family. She going blind and is in her 30s. So okay, we all know that chop is a LOT of work but so worth it for healthy babies. Some find it relaxing and therapeutic to process veggies for the week but when you run a rescue, one that is truly focused on good husbandry, then imagine how much work it is to make chop enough for 80! Larry is a golden-collared macaw or yellow-collared macaw (Primolius auricollis). This is a small, mostly green, Central South American parrot that is a member of a large group of Neotropical parrots known as macaws.
